Giddy Up & Groove: Where the Coastside Comes to Dance

Ocean Element Real Estate is thrilled to partner with Highway 1 Fitness and The Barn HMB to bring you Giddy Up & Groove, a recurring Country and Soul line dancing series designed to bring people together, Coastside-style.

What Is Country and Soul Line Dancing?

If you’re picturing cowboy boots and country music, you’re halfway there. Country and Soul line dancing takes the best of classic country line dancing and adds a soulful twist. It blends the upbeat, easy-to-follow choreography of traditional country line dancing with smooth R&B, Motown, funk, and pop rhythms. The result is a dance style that feels both nostalgic and fresh, where every song invites you to move, smile, and connect with the people around you.

This style is perfect for all levels. Beginners can jump right in and have fun, while experienced dancers will love the variety of music and movement. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about letting loose, finding your rhythm, and enjoying the good vibes.

A New Way to Connect and Move

It all kicks off with the first class on Friday, October 17th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at Highway 1 Fitness. The class is open to everyone, no dance experience required, and will be led by the high-energy duo Christopher Childers and Jennifer Tosetti. Together, they blend the heart of country, the rhythm of soul, and the easygoing spirit of the Coastside into one unforgettable hour of movement and laughter.

The Barn Comes Alive

Once you’ve learned the steps, the real magic happens the following week. On Friday, October 24th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, Giddy Up & Groove moves to The Barn in Half Moon Bay for an onsite dance event filled with live music vibes, good company, and plenty of chances to show off your new moves.

With its rustic charm, open-air setting, and family-friendly atmosphere, The Barn is the perfect backdrop for a Coastside dance night where the sunset meets the rhythm and laughter carries into the evening.
