For Lucy Gillies, real estate is more than a profession—it’s a way to connect people with a sense of home and belonging. Motivated by a deep love of community and a passion for helping others, Lucy is known for her personalized service, global perspective, and unwavering commitment to each client’s goals. As a longtime Half Moon Bay resident and self-described ambassador of the Coastside, she goes above and beyond to help buyers and sellers navigate their real estate journey with clarity and confidence.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Lucy earned her bachelor’s degree in commerce in South Africa before spending 16 years in the United Kingdom, eventually relocating to the United States. Her background includes over 25 years as a retail inventory planner—a role that honed her analytical skills and financial acumen. But it was during her time managing a restaurant that she discovered her passion for people, service, and fast-paced, hands-on problem-solving—elements that now define her approach to real estate.

Lucy’s unique combination of financial savvy, attention to detail, and warm, people-first communication makes her an ideal guide for clients at every stage of life. She primarily works with high-end professionals relocating for work, but also supports clients moving for health reasons, retirement, or lifestyle changes. Her client base includes a healthy mix of first-time buyers, referrals from past clients, and friends from her personal network—many of whom rely on her realistic, confident guidance to navigate what can otherwise be a stressful process.

Whether helping clients envision the potential of a new space or handling logistical hurdles to ease stress and reduce cost, Lucy takes a proactive, compassionate approach to every deal. Her creative eye and sharp financial instincts allow her to advocate effectively on behalf of both buyers and sellers, always putting their needs first.

Lucy has proudly called Half Moon Bay home since 2010. When she’s not helping clients find their perfect home along the Coastside, she’s likely outdoors—playing USTA tennis, mountain biking, golfing, or skiing. An avid sailor, Lucy teaches both kids and adults how to sail and race competitively. She also serves on the board of directors for the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club, where she continues to give back to the local community she so deeply loves.
